Found out today that an acquaintance named their new baby Kepler.
It’s after max Kepler of the Twins, but it’s still weird for me to hear a baby referred to as “Kepler”

In the grand scheme of things this is a minor loss, but Gaggan Anand has announced his Indian restaurant in Bangkok (which we've been to a handful of times since it opened) will close this summer and we won't be able to visit again in December assuming we can still travel there.
Perfect. "The passenger was not cross-checked by ground crew and had not tightened the harness adequately on his own. He had also not donned his G-suit pants correctly and his helmet and oxygen mask were unbuckled." No writer would ever put that down on paper outside of a cartoon - it's liternally not believable.
Smith said his goal was to protect his family. His wife gathered the children and took them to a bedroom and closed the door.
Smith fights at 205 pounds. Somehow, he said, this man who weighed around 170 pounds was still coming at him, an elite UFC fighter, for minutes.
"No normal human is able to fight like that," Smith said. "I'm by no means the baddest dude on the planet. But he's a regular Joe and I had a hard time dealing with him. And he took everything that I gave him -- every punch, every knee, every elbow. He took every single one of them and kept fighting me."
At one point, Smith said, his mother-in-law brought him a kitchen knife, which he held to Haberman, who continued to fight him, Smith said.
When the police arrived, officers were able to subdue Haberman, Smith said. He said there was blood all over the computer room and Haberman was cut and had swelling on his face.
According to Smith, Haberman told him, "Hey man, I'm sorry" as he walked by after things calmed down.
