    Those were the days that Ned Harkness had both teams in the national spotlight and brought both National championships, the lacrosse one a cowinner in a poll with UVA. The lacrosse team also represented the US in the Olympics as a demo-sport in 1948 winning all but one game which was a tie.

    Jim Brown is one of the greatest football players of all time, but it was lacrosse that had his heart.
    Brown famously said he’d “rather play lacrosse six days a week and football on the seventh” and said it was “the greatest sport ever invented by mankind”
