There was that one time he did "Take Off"(ten bucks is ten bucks) on Bob & Doug McKenzie's Great White North album. It was in the hit single section.

I was rather lucky in my choice of parents (lol). They were incredibly tolerant of almost anything I did. Very much traditional lower middle class upbringing. My dad simply believed that you should be exposed as a child growing up to pretty much anything that was not too dangerous or too illegal.

A nice article by the Globe on Johnny Peirson.

Big bummer, but these guys are getting old. It was just under 24 months ago when we were live streaming the whole Apollo 11 flight 50 years later.

This reminds me of a funny story which I have told before but oh well.

Dr. Mrs.' first job upon arrival in DC, in 2003, was with NASA as a policy liaison. During her perusal of their archives looking for something entirely unrelated she came across invoices for some of the Apollo expenses. Completely mundane stuff like coffee machines and travel vouchers, from the 1960s.

Scrawled across one of the forms, in bold strokes drilled into the paper with great force, were the words "Buzz Aldrin is an as-shole."

No context, nothing. I have never ever been able to forget this whenever I hear or see anything about Aldrin.
