        • Grant Wahl, the celebrated soccer journalist who died suddenly last week at the World Cup in Qatar, had a rupture in a blood vessel leading from the heart, his family announced on Wednesday.
His death resulted from a weakness in an artery wall called an aneurysm, which may balloon outward and then tear open. An autopsy conducted in New York revealed that Mr. Wahl, 49, experienced a catastrophic rupture in the ascending aorta, which carries oxygenated blood from the heart.

                    • Franco Harris.

Just 2 days before the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception. Steelers had planned on a celebration to honor him during halftime this Saturday and retire his number. Bound to take a different feel to it.

This is one the things that can really freak a person out.

Yesterday, I went to lunch with a group of friends that I've known forever. We've golfed together, played cards together and had frequent lunches together for more than 25 years.

During lunch, I mentioned the upcoming 50 year anniversary of the Immaculate Reception, and someone asked, "Is Franco Harris still alive?" Most of us were pretty sure he was, but no one was absolutely convinced, so someone googled it and saw that he was.

In 25 years no one in that group has ever uttered the name Franco Harris, until yesterday.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

I'd never heard of that type of cancer so checking with Dr. Google it's usually metastic by the time it's diagnosed. One article stated as of 2019 there were only 220 cases medically documented. Another article had half of the patients with RMC described in the original 1995 study did not survive longer than 4 months from diagnosis
