It's OK, you should outlive them. By barely.

“It started to rain right before I went on,” she added. “Ravi Shankar had just finished up his performance, and the announcer said that if you lit candles, it would help to keep the rain away. By the time I finished my set, the whole hillside was a mass of little flickering lights. I guess that’s one of the reasons I came back to my body.”

Hockey was routinely shunned and any soccer coverage was only what Grant Wahl could jam through. Never forget they also shilled for the NFL in the early days by printing NFL photos in color while the AFL got black and white.
Much of this is true, but tou're overstating the limits of their coverage (although obviously a mass media publication is always going to focus on the Big 4 as well as NCAA bb and FB) and there were many years when they had a handful of more than competent writers including Dan Jenkins, Plimpton, DeFord, Verducci, William Nack, Steve Rushin, Rick Reilly...

One of my favorite articles was about the MN HS hockey tournament.

It used to be staple in sh-tty malls in midsize suburbs, where brood sows think butterflies are decadent. They went t-ts up in 2015 though, so I dunno if they are mail order now or what.

Just a bunch of tailored-suit lawyers, buying brand IP and manipulating the law to make millions. 'Murica.
TBH they could wipe out them all and nothing of value would be lost. Celebs and brand trash. Burn it.

We still push all the finance bros into the abattoir, though; that doesn't change.

I'd have been off on his birth year by more than 20 years. I had no idea he survived last century.

Such a fun guy. I learned a lot about classical music while laughing my posterior off.
