That’ll mess with the reboot. Maybe they replace the VA or give Dale a voice box from smoking, but you can’t really write him off like you could with Lucky and Luanne. Plus so much of Dale’s humor came from the nuance in tone that Hardwick put on his lines.

His solo work since The Band broke up has been excellent as well, especially his Music For The Native Americans, which is music he wrote for the PBS Native Americans program, and Contact From The Underworld of Redboy, where he continued his exploration of the music of his native heritage, only this time melded with hip hop, tecno and other modern music genres.
