              I remember it as a Doobie Brothers song, more than a Byrds song. I also think those of us who are OLD think of the words "just alright" as being more than passive approval.

                  I don't think you wiffed. I thought you were referring to Spirit in the Sky and made the appropriate comment that some groups that sang songs with christian themes were not all that religious.

                  I also completely get the point TC made in her post. On the meaning of "alright," though, she does not have the advantage of old age to inform her how that word was used back in those days. And that's a good thing for her.
