Save Christ; get rid of the Christians. We should just rescue Christianity. Take the smartest million or so secularists, retain everything worthwhile from Scripture and the Gospels, flush the rest down the Memory Hole, attribute our reading to God, and apply for tax free church status. Ya know, do what every religion has done.
The smart people had all left the Christian sects by 1750, which explains why it's so lame today -- it's had 270 years of nothing but morons running it. Time to literally smarten it up. Let's save Christianity. It was useful once. Let's enter the marketplace of religions and kick some olde tyme as-s.Last edited by Kepler; 05-20-2021, 05:23 PM.Cornell University

May I provide the next (Matthew 7:2):
"For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you."
Mt 7:1 is not an admonishment against judging but a warning about what comes if you do (Mt 7:2).The preceding post may contain trigger words and is not safe-space approved. <-- Virtue signaling.

It doesn't say "don't judge"; it says "judge as you would choose to be judged".
Kind of that whole "do onto others as you'd have them do onto you" vibe.
If you judge, do it justly (and hold yourself to the same standard).
Mt 7:5 goes on to talk about the dangers of hypocrisy.
Using Mt 7:1 alone isn't the whole story. The preceding post may contain trigger words and is not safe-space approved. <-- Virtue signaling.

It's because we dared to defy what they consider "normal," and if you go outside their definition of "normal," it's unforgivable.
Unless you're trying to save them?
