Priceless said earlier this week that he was going to have it reapplied in order to get this site right with Google Adsense.

    Story out of Grand Rapids:

Wedding venue opens, but denies service to LGBT couples.
The response is "do as you wish, but can you at least say that on the website so no one wastes their time?'
The venue refuses to do so.
The venue gets slapped with a Civil Rights violation by the city.
The venue is now desperately trying to raise money to stay open, claiming they could close in 24 days. There's also a section on their website where you can leave a prayer.

    I'm cackling.

I want to make sure I have this straight (HA!):

According to nut jobs, abortion is wrong, but Catholic Zoomers killing their friends is A-OK.

The courts ruled quite some time ago that judges can't specifically mandate AA or 12 Step attendance as part of sentencing for drug & alcohol-related offenses, just support group attendance in general, because of the steps that refer to "God". I'm surprised it took this long to trickle down to HIMS and similar IOPs for high risk professions. As always, I'm guessing it was opposed by the people in charge of those programs who are fully indoctrinated into the AA belief that there is no other way. It is also less convenient for the employer to have to accommodate, since there are AA meetings near or even in major US airports every single day.

In a perfect world where 12 Step recovery wasn't a big business, AA would welcome people having options. It spreads out the population of unrepentant offenders who only attend recovery meetings to get their paper signed for court, and have no serious intention of quitting their substance of choice or working on themselves regardless of what program they show up for.

Really cool thing that happened Thursday.

I started talking with a woman at the Verizon store on East Beltline.

She noticed I was feeling depressed and exhausted and she offered to pray with me. I let her hold my hands and appeal to her God on my behalf. I felt heard in that moment. I felt understood. She couldn't do much else, but I felt loved and appreciated.

And she gave me several Mama hugs. Because I can never have enough of them.

It’s another round of Catholic priests playing their favorite game, Rape ‘em If You Got ‘em!

    https://www.dropbo*****/s/20ntkzph1l...rsity.pdf?dl=0

In short, a group of priests would perform some very touchy-feely exorcisms on gullible, attractive students at Franciscan Uni of Steubenville. Somebody leaked a redacted version of the sealed court docs.

The same people that recoil like a vampire to sunlight whenever they see one of those icky queers and then scream bloody murder that said queer is "forcing it down our throats" simply by existing really get agitated when someone who is not an adherent to their particular sky fairy point out that things like anti-abortion laws or trans-exclusive laws are religiously motivated and nakedly violate that very same first amendment.

While I would prefer these silly god people keep their silly garbage to themselves, I only really care when they try to enforce their rules on others.
