If you have a real point, apparently so. Rooting is rooting, whether it’s team USA, your hometown pro hockey team, or some minor team from a school you like. Homers are everywhere. Why you draw the line at team USA is quite arbitrary.

Especially when Team USA T&F makes an order of magnitude or two less than the NFL team you have decided to root for.

No, the point is, this was never about rooting. Get wound up and keep spinning, but the entire conservation was about something else. It's honestly not that difficult -- you got spun up about something that wasn't the topic.

          • Sharks trading Timo Meier to New Jersey for the friends they made along the way. No, seriously, it's been like an hour and a half with no info on the return.

Seeing the names now it makes sense why it took so long to release. Spell check doesn’t work on names like those.

Because travel to the east was/is easier. And almost 3/4 of their games now start at or before 8 ET.

But seriosuly, man the east is just getting tougher. We're going to need to wait another 5 years until these teams age out.

Columbus, since they are, you know, west of Detroit. But it would’ve taken away at the time what was a big draw and powerhouse for the Western teams to see multiple times (especially since for many years Wings fans would outdraw home fans on the road some places) and left Chicago as the only Original 6 over there. Of course that ended up happening anyway.
