”A lawsuit alleges that during the team’s 2010 Stanley Cup championship run, former Blackhawks video coach Brad Aldrich used to masturbate and watch pornography in front of a player and threatened to “physically, financially and emotionally” hurt the player if he didn’t engage in sexual acts with him.

This could absolutely happen to any 20-something. It numbs me as a parent.

Happened to one of our friggin' weathermen on the Detroit stations several years back, which goes to show you that otherwise smart people will occasionally get burned doing stupid things. He's got a glass eye now. That's what you get for going to a redneck fireworks show in Iowa (the world an apology) for the 4th.

Went to WI for the weekend to visit gf's sister, bil, and nephews again. Neighbors two or three houses down torched off a handful of fireworks that were definitely not legal and really effing stupid to be setting them off in a city with other houses in close proximity. Driving through Indiana on the way there, signs everywhere for fireworks superstores selling (presumably) fireworks that aren't legal in the surrounding states. It's totally out of control and they really need to toughen the laws and start arresting some of these morons, IMHO.

Is there an explanation how is that allowed? And should that not force a re-org going into next season?

Kucherov had hip surgery in December that he recovered from right before Game 1 of the 1st round. Stuck him on LTIR before the season started and spent that money elsewhere. The Blackhawks did something similar in 2015 with Patrick Kane.

Does that mean they have to get smaller before next season?

Yes, they are over the cap limit and need to make roster changes.
Edit: Also expansion draft will occur soon. Expect a lot of movement of players in the next few weeks.

Saw yesterday that Tarasenko has followed Eichel's lead of demanding a trade because he's unhappy with the way the Blues have handled his injuries in the last two seasons.
