      • J. Lemaires with 2? Both Bobby Smith and Neal Broten both score a winning goal 4 years after a SC final loss with the North Stars.

I had no idea this was happening. Yikes. Initial story:

An unidentified former Chicago Blackhawks player says in a lawsuit against the team that a then-assistant coach sexually assaulted him in 2010 during a playoff run to a Stanley Cup title and that the team did nothing after he informed a now-retired employee.

              • When I posted on page 17 I wanted TV personalities who played and retired after the lockout... I mean the 2012 lockout, not the 04-05 one.

                Seriously, Chelios?

Yeah, hopefully TNT has more brains than that. If not, then the hell with it.

Well, TBS/TNT announced they're gonna bring the '80s Oilers to their broadcast staff, so I really don't have high hopes.

I wasn't excited about Gretzky either.
Apparently basketball just has better personalities than hockey.

                          Better? No.

But given their histories and Twitter accounts, you gonna go with ...

"Welcome to the NHL on TNT studios where Wayne Gretzky and I are joined tonight by Paul Bissonnette and Mike Commodore. Commy, what'd you think of the first period?"

Before Commy can get the second word out ...

Bisso: "Hey Wayne, if you're so Great One how come ya never fought me?"
Commy: "Bisso, what the < bleep >, I was talking."

                          Live, on-camera 'yard sale' ensues.

The preceding post may contain trigger words and is not safe-space approved. <-- Virtue signaling.

Do not say that on any medium connected to ESPN. We'll have hockey broadcast by Stephon Marbury and World B. Free.

The radio silence they've been allowed to get away with up to this point has been very disturbing.

                              • Kessler, Bieksa, Sharp, Moore, Osgood?

I appreciate the insight that MLB Network has utilized in bringing in recent talent to explain the game. Sure they do have the "older" players as well, but the "younger" guys have done the carrying of the water on the network. Even ESPN has started to come around on the MLB front.

I really wished the NHL broadcasters would have done the same.
