That had to have been the most spectacular place to have an outside hockey game over the weekend. And it was awesome that they moved the start time yesterday thanks to the issues on Saturday- that sunset over the Sierra Nevadas was amazing. And it let the ice be in great shape for the Phi-Bos game.

Considering they could not have had fans, the outdoor games could not have had a better place.

      And Secord still sucks!!

(Yes I realize that's not Al fighting Dino)
I was wondering about rivals yesterday- with this hockey season forcing teams to play each other SO much- I wonder if this season will up the rivalries. BOS-PHI or PIT-WAS - or any others that have kind of leveled off over the last few years. This year is making teams face each other so many times- it seems that there will be some boiling over in a month or two.

Can't recall a Wild team playing with this much swagger in forever. Obviously it's very early but as for now there is reason for optimism. It will be interesting to see how they handle teams realizing they better start game planning for a different Wild team than they're used to seeing.

What Kaprisov did on that 4th goal was sick.

Also I don't care what anyone says those sweaters they had on tonight are sharp.

Seattle Kraken getting involved in the Save The Seawolves campaign. With the Kraken on board and the deadline being extended to August they may actually pull this off.

I love Frederic looking around, trying to draw attention.

It was a dick move by Ovie and also Frederic made a meal of it.

Meh, it's the Caps and Bruins. It's the bad sportmanship finals. **** 'em both.

This is very cool. I wonder if UW will make noises about going D1. I can certainly see an eventual pared down Pac-whatever the **** it is with UW, Stanford, UCLA, USC, ASU, and Colorado making the jump. And they could accommodate the two Alaska schools and finally end that nightmare.

Generally speaking I am opposed to factory schools in D-1 (cough disband the Big except Wisco and Minny uncough) but I would welcome a Pac-8ish and not just because I will be living within walking distance of the ASU campus.

I am becoming slightly more optimistic about the Red Wings but I am happy they continue to lose games. Gimme more draft picks.

Watching them- I kind of wish Blashill would get the team to increase the team's focus on defense- since they struggle scoring, it's those 5 min spans where the game goes from tied to 2 down. Mostly in the 3rd period. And while talent will help- at this point, just focus would go a long way.

I'm not a Bruins fan but I am a hockey fan and I believe Wilson should have gotten a match penalty. The NHL's joke Dept. of Player Safety won't do anything meaningful. Prob get 4 games reduced to 2 on appeal.
Tinordi(2nd game as a Bruin after being waived by Nashville)gave him a pretty good thumping though.
