    • Rielly will have in person hearing in nyc tomorrow after his hit to the head of the player who slapshotted an empty net goal.

no matter the outcome, I’m sure leafs fans will handle it well

He should get 6 games since it was similar to Perron's hit.

Isn't this hit very similar to what Dale Hunter did in the playoffs against the Islanders way back? And didn't Hunter get 10 games?

If it is that hit you're talking about yes. But I don't think the NHL will consider that hit since it was a while ago. The current standard would be Perron's hit that happened this season. But I think 10 games would be also reasonable. Intentional head hits like this has no place in the game.

Yeah but he took a slap shot at an empty net so he deserved it.

Next time, I want to see someone do the Michigan on an empty net...

                          • Jagr's #68 retired by the Pens tonight. My favorite little story is they leading up to the draft, Jagr was telling teams he wasn't sure about coming to the states anytime soon if at all. Except the Penguins. He really wanted to play with Super Mario. He told them, he would come immediately.

                            • I'm not sure if the Rangers were good today or the Islanders were just BAD today...

It really seemed like the 10 seconds of OT summed up how the NYI played in the 2nd half of the game today.
It's never too early to start the Pre-game festivities
