You start out wondering what the team is doing, and whether there is a plan. Pretty soon things start turning around, you enjoy the wins, but you have this nagging suspicion they are simply overachieving.
In stage 3, real belief takes over. This team can compete for the title. By stage 4, there is no reason why we won't win the title.
I don't want to talk about stage 5. Been there, done that. Love the man as a coach, but I don't want to go back on that ride.
I sort of sense Seattle fans are somewhere between 2 and 3 right now.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Wonder what the ratings will be for the Final. All on cable for the first time in 30ish years, and possibly an all-southern affair. I don’t think it will be as bad as the COVID Cup or the Anaheim-Ottawa series, as neither of those cracked 3 million for any game, but it could be close.Go Green! Go White! Go State!

At the World Championships, through three games there is one team left who is undefeated in regulation: the US.
The US. With a top line of Alex Tuch, Nick Bonino, and Rocco *ing Grimaldi.U-A-A!!!Go!Go!GreenandGold!

Otherwise the argument is saying that the smaller market teams are simply there to collect the outstanding market revenue while only the biggest market teams deserve to win championships.

Really I just think the trends are interesting. Last year’s series averaged 4.6 million, which is actually more than the two COVID affected series combined. It also didn’t have a game below 3.7 million for the first time since 2015, which is likely due to the fact it was all OTA for the first time 40ish years.
Moving to cable is good for a very consistent 1.5 to 2 million drop in viewers. That’s going to hurt more than whatever the matchup ends up being.Go Green! Go White! Go State!

Looks like the US opponents record so far is 1-0-1-6. Granted one is Finland, but I’m not sure how much longer than undefeated streak will last.Go Green! Go White! Go State!

I wish they’d just put on ESPN+, I’ve never had NHL Network.U-A-A!!!Go!Go!GreenandGold!
