            JK Rowling is a TERF. If I had no desire to read Harry Potter before, I definitely have no desire to read her now.

            And no, don't tell me she's not a TERF. It's not up to cisgender humans to decide what's transphobic.

              Being transphobic doesn't automatically make a ciswoman a TERF. I'm pretty sure Phyllis Schlafly wasn't a TERF, she was just a straight-up bigot who also hated feminists, gays, non-Christians, etc.

                  Saying Rowling is a TERF would imply that she is also a radical feminist. I've never seen any sort of evidence that she fits that particular sect. I think she is just sympathetic to this bigoted idea of "real" womanhood, probably because she grew up with an abusive father.

                  But if you want to call her a TERF, no one's stopping you. *shrug*
