He was an officer? Good Lord. I could see them wanting to avoid Johnny Citizen going in there but a trained officer?

    • Sounds like we may get a bill out of the Senate after all and it may be better than I thought it was going to be. It's not enough but it's something.

Why has the Uvalde PD not been burned to the ground at this point?

I mean what are those people thinking? If we can't prevent all senseless deaths why bother trying to prevent any of them. Buncha ****ing *******s who don't understand why guns made this country the great place it is today.

                    • With the Supreme Court Ruling today everyone has a right to carry a gun anywhere they want. Under the 2nd and 14th Amendments. Now, fast forward to the new law which does nothing about AR-15's or guns like it, does nothing about getting us to universal background checks, and does nothing about the age you can buy a gun.

Top that with the GOP pushing this new law through Congress under the guise of (see, we did something and it's still happening, it's not the guns) and you have the perfect Republican Stew.

Plan on dying of a gunshot wound at some point. I am.

                      • So, this just happened.

We just voted to create an Amber Alert type system for active shootings and 78% of House republicans voted against it to stop its passage.

                            LMAO.

No more a waste of money than all citizens needing to wear bulletproof vests in schools and grocery stores now. Maybe if the alerts were going off all the time you ****ing gun nuts would get a clue?

                            • Run the other way? I thought the point would have been so that all those good guys who are now free to carry their guns freaking everywhere and are just dying (no pun intended) to help maintain public order could run TOWARD the shooter.
If you don't change the world today, how can it be any better tomorrow?

I want to see every black person in America carrying an AR-15.
