How much should their wages be if Employer charges 25 an hour?

The contractor rule of thumb in my industry is the wrap rate (that's the total charge to the customer as a multiplier of the direct labor rate) is 2. The wrap covers the contracting firm's costs in developing and compensating the employee, plus a profit surcharge.

There are small body shops that are notorious for existing simply to cash in the wrap. And a few large companies cough Booze Allen.

Right. But those are for specialty contractors, where there is actual expertise involved. If you want to job shop talent to federal contractors, you need to know the DFARs, you probably need to sponsor and maintain security clearances, administer health care plans and 401(k)s, etc. In other words, there is actual work to do and relatively "scarce" expertise involved.

To hire, schedule, and pay housecleaners? Anything more than 1.25 seems exploitative to me.
If you don't change the world today, how can it be any better tomorrow?

          Oh I see.

Yeah, I have no idea what those guys charge, though I assume a lot more cuz you know human trafficking.

So to not exploit the employees of a cleaning business making 7.25 an hour, the employer should be charging a wee bit over 9 bucks an hour to its customers?

True. Original payment to the coyote, and then the extortion payment after they cross the border.

I think it should be done, but I don’t think those senate seats are a lock for democrats.

It should be a state because it’s right. I think most people understand it won’t be a lock for D senators but that doesn’t mean Dems shouldn’t push for it.

2-2.5 is the standard multiplier at my company. The term we've adopted. Many firms actually negotiate that number alone and not the base rates.

PR and DC. 100 is a magic number, once it's broken we can take care of a lot of unfinished business.

If the conservatives love 100 so much they can roll ND/SD and ID/MT together.

Well there is nothing saying that it should only be one state. If they want it it should be done no matter who they choose to represent them.
