For the 2026 World Cup? It always been a USA tournament with Canada and Mexico as window dressing. Canada and Mexico are only getting three stadiums each and no matches past the Round of 16.

And between Mexico’s issues with their fans and Canadian cities pulling out (Vancouver and Montreal have already noped) it may well be a USA only hosted tournament anyway.

Why would the US ever have a National Stadium? Germany doesn’t even have one and their infrastructure is way better than ours.

b) If you insist, the Rose Bowl has way more history, it hosted the 1994 Final, the 1999 Women’s Final, the 1984 Olympics Final, and the Gold Cup Final multiple times, the only stadium in the world to do so.

RFK was a de facto national stadium, wasn't it? But that's getting demolished soon so it's a moot point.

The US has too many population centers spread around the country to have a specific home stadium for soccer.
