In a fit of curiosity, mostly due to a potential matchup between the US and Senegal which would be between two managers (Berhalter and Aliou Cisse) who played in the quarterfinals in 2002, I looked up the current managers who played at the 2002 World Cup and it actually includes four people from the quarterfinals that year. The list is:

Gregg Berhalter (USA manager, played for USA in 2002)
Aliou Cisse (Senegal manager, played for Senegal in 2002)
Paulo Bento (South Korea manager, played for Portugal in 2002) (His last Portugal Cap was against South Korea at that World Cup)
Rigobert Song (Cameroon manger, played for Cameroon in 2002)
Gareth Southgate (England manager, played for England in 2002)
Luis Enrique (Spain manager, played for Spain in 2002)


Berhalter, Cisse, Southgate, and Enrique all were on teams in the quarterfinals (though Southgate is the only one who didn't play).
