How can a goalkeeper have a foot behind the line when the ball is kicked but must stay on the line until the ball is kicked? These are talking about the same moment of time but describing two conflicting states for the foot.
You can't start on the line until the ball is kicked and then some Planck-length unit of time later be behind the line, practically speaking.

Yet another scoreless draw, though. That’s the fourth through 14 games. Russia 2018 only had one in the entire tournament.

r/soccer’s blatant anti-Americanism coming out in spades as an American referee dares to deny C. Ronaldo a goal despite the obvious foul.U-A-A!!!Go!Go!GreenandGold!

Looking ahead to 2030, it appears joint bids are going to be the new way going forward.
Confirmed bids so far are:
Morocco
Argentina-Paraguay-Uruguay-Chile
Spain-Portugal-Ukraine
Egypt-Greece-Saudi Arabia
It looks like the Spain-Portugal bid was Iberian only and Ukraine was just added in October.
The home nations were going to bid, but that was abandoned.
The most interesting one I see from the interested bids is a possible South Korea-North Korea bid. But given the events of the last month that seems less likely.
Given it’s the 100th anniversary, I see it going to the South American bid, but I could also see the Egypt bid happening since it’s across three confederations and would play up a true “World” Cup.Go Green! Go White! Go State!

I don’t get why they keep saying Ronaldo is the first MAN to score goals in five world cups when the men and women have completely different tournaments. It’s like comparing someone doing something in the World Cup to someone doing something in some other random tournament.Originally posted by BobbyBrady
Crosby probably wouldn't even be on BC's top two lines next year

women’s soccer exists. They have a World Cup. There is a woman’s player who has scored in 5 world cups.
why does this bother you?

I forgot about a historical aspect of Japan’s win over Germany.
In qualifying for the 1994 World Cup, Japan needed a win over Iraq to qualify. They lead 2-1 and gave up a late equalizer that kept them out. The match was played in Doha and is called the “Agony of Doha” in Japan.
Flash forward nearly 30 years later and Japan beats Germany at the World Cup.
In Doha.U-A-A!!!Go!Go!GreenandGold!
