Last week, I was sitting at the coffee shop in the Meijer where I work and we were talking about Colonial Pipeline. The barista, who I normally like, was saying it was caused by Biden. Another customer told her it was a hack (supposedly), and the barista responds with "that's what they want you to think." Urrgghhh....

There are no Hot Pockets. There are only Cold Pockets. You are expected to supply the heat yourself.

    DON'T BELIEVE THE LIES.

If the CPC wants something closed it's closed, not ransacked.

Plus I assume the PRC is quite happy with crazy conspiracy theories spreading FUD through America's 50M strong short bus set. "When your enemy is making a mistake, don't interrupt him."

I'm not saying I know for a fact they did it themselves, I just know it's true.

They have been sliding since Dump crapped the bed and they lost their golden eggs.

The beauty and curse of America is that you have the right to be objectively, pigheadedly wrong in your opinions. Even when all the vetted evidence says otherwise, you can make up your own evidence or just go with your gut fee-fees.

This is a conspiracy theory and technical question rolled into one...my dad called me a couple times today and both times immediately after we hung up I got a spam call. Do you think someone somewhere can tell I just hung up and decided that was the right time to place the call? I’ve had phases years ago where I used to get a lot but at this point I only get maybe one every week or two. It just seems like an incredibly weird coincidence.

I'm admiring the optimism of those who think COVID is planned. They have never been in a group project for school or been a project manager, have they? Getting even five people to do what they need to do on time is nearly impossible! And even if they did, getting all of them to stay quiet!

We all have our faults, but for those of us who realize that, we can work on changing/minimizing them. For others, education to show them the errors. For those who have fallen deep down the rabbit hole, all we can do is "mitigate the harm to themselves or others."

TLR; Education and research still trumps a YouTube/Facebook video, and ignoring the "problem" won't make it go away. Instead you need to continue to state the facts, If not for the lost soul, so at least others can be informed as well. Unfortunately it's a two way street that can be (and is) used by conspiracy folk as well.
This contains a perfect summary of the dilemma of the troll on another thread:

What if Oliver is too far gone and can’t change his ways even if he wanted to? Like other bad habits, intellectual bad habits can be too deeply entrenched to change. This means living with their consequences. Trying to reason with people who are obstinately closed-minded, dogmatic or prejudiced is unlikely to be effective. The only remedy in such cases is to try to mitigate the harm their vices do to themselves and to others.
The whole piece is excellent. Thank you!
