I agree 100% with what both you and MT have just posted on conspiracies, which is one of the reasons that I've been a bit skeptical to leap onto the Steven Avery is innocent bus in the Making a Murderer case. Yeah, I suppose it might be possible he's innocent, but many of the theories supporting it require the involvement of a lot of people conspiring against him. I don't have that much faith in Wisconsin residents to collectively do something that serious, that effectively, without one of them getting drunk and spilling the beans.

It's cute how conspiracy theorists believe thousands of people are in on faking a major event, such as man on the moon and 9/11.

Clearly, conspiracy theorists have never led a group project for school or have been a project manager. For me in my undergrad, getting 6 people to do their job was HARD.

And getting them not to b-tch about it is impossible.

The only way to have a good conspiracy is to involve as few people as possible and kill them off quickly as soon as possible.

60 minutes reported about 10 years ago people could hack cars. Vault7 from Wikileaks confirmed cia has this in their arsenal to dispose of people with no trace back to Langley. Is that what happened here? I have no idea.

I won’t state I unequivocally believe this because I have only this video to go on. But at this point with what i’m Reading now of post-jfk cia, I don’t discount anything.

It's called the burden of proof, not the burden of disproof.

I'm not saying the CIA wouldn't have murdered Ryan. Obviously, given they murdered the sitting president and their delusional Messianic complex, they'd murder anybody. But there can't just be means, motive, and opportunity -- all three of which, with the Agency in particular and the IC in general, will always be present. There must be evidence and parsimony. With Ryan, like with Malcolm, it is much simpler and more likely he was murdered by other actors with other motives.

But Ryan was murdered by Jim Jones. That may have been extremely good news for the CIA, but I see nothing to connect events. Sometimes the china breaks by itself.

There’s a video called Evidence Of Revision out on dvd where the argument is made that Jonestown was part of a cia program akin to mkultra and documents Jim jones as being an asset of the company not just in Jonestown but stretching back 20 years prior. They assert Leo Ryan was shot on the tarmac as Richard Dwyer (cia) left him by the plane.

I won’t state I unequivocally believe this because I have only this video to go on. But at this point with what i’m Reading now of post-jfk cia, I don’t discount anything.

Very interesting article on Lisa Pease’s RFK book (ahem, looking at you Robert Maheu). In a nutshell, cia basically took over in the 60’s and no oversight since then save for representative Leo Ryan who was murdered for his efforts.
