I for one am not assuming your beliefs. I have tried very hard to say, "regardless of what you believe, you are supporting people the consequences of whose actions are this."

If you vote for a guy, and he does x, and then you vote for him again, then you did x. Your party has been trying to destroy democracy for at least 20 years (my scorecard says 43). And you vote for them and defend them.

At some point that is on you. You have to take accountability for the policies the candidates you support continue to implement. That is your political legacy. If you were not that would have been one fewer vote for those.

What do you think you're doing? I don't know and don't care. What you are doing is what counts. Your beliefs don't matter.

They allow for the opening of schools and businesses without another outbreak. You would think by now you would get that after your side of the aisle screwed that up last year and killed half a million people (well the ones Cuomo didn't help kill but I digress) but hey...no one ever accused conservatives of thinking these days. And funny...plenty of vaccines are already required for various things (MMR for school, tetanus...etc.) why do you all of a sudden care about it for COVID? I mean we all know why but we want you to admit it.

On the other hand state ids cost money and require you to take time out of your day to go get one. (some states let you renew online) In many states, the poor dont have the means to get to the limited places that might exist and since they aren't driving it just might not be worth the hassle of wrangling up a ride, riding a bus for god knows how long or paying for a taxi/uber.

When you and your ilk allow for State IDs to be as easy to obtain as a vax card you will have a point. Otherwise you are just making another in your long line of logical fallacies. I will admit though you are doing a better job of not pretending you don't think for yourself. I applaud realism so keep it up by 2024 there won't be much pretense left and we will take your seriously. Not your beliefs mind you, but just that you are being forthright and honest.
They should be proud and honored to get stuck with the vaccine that Dear Leader created all by himself in record time.

You need to stop this victimhood garbage. I've been the lone dissenter here, many times. Yes, it can be overwhelming. But that's ok.

You're getting dunked on here because your point about "Reid doing it first" was irrelevant to the discussion, and your point about "vaccine ID cards" was a total red herring.

Make a point. Defend the point. Don't change goalposts, and don't cry when it's pointed out that you're being inconsistent and/or lazy. Would you get away with it if this were more right-leaning? Sure! Do some of our left-leaning friends get away with lazy posts because of that? Sure!

                But so what.

That's rampant from all directions in these-here parts.

That Reid did it is the point. He opened Pandora's box. Saying indignantly "those other side baddies, they might do it" misses the point that the door was opened to them by one of their own. The speculation porn ("you know they would have anyway") is the red herring. We don't know that. What we know is history, namely, Reid.

Ah yes...the "I am a victim" argument which ignores the fact that many of us have been "engaging" with you for well over a decade (some of us over 2!) so we know that is complete bull. You ask questions, we answer, we ask you a question and its crickets. Hell you dont even acknowledge when we do answer your questions you just pretend it didn't happen and repeat yourself like that somehow proves a point.

Here is the thing, it isnt that you have unpopular ideas...I mean you do...but that isn't why people are treating you this way. It is because your arguments are crap, your victimhood is pathetic and you never take ownership of any actual idea. You speak in vagaries and pull the joecct "just asking the question" then throw out some weird comments that barely are relevant trying to sound clever. Then you seem to disappear when the going gets tough because your BS gets thrown back in your face. (like Hillary being so bad for security but you never calling out Trump for being an order of magnitude worse) Many of us just got sick of trying to ask you legitimate questions and having a 1/100 chance you answer them at all let alone honestly.

Honestly we would probably engage you more if you just owned up to the fact that you are no better than most in that you don't really care about the issues you pretend to, you care about what affects you and you vote as such. That is why you act like every decision is made in a vacuum and never deal with the unintended consequences. Voter suppression isnt a thing in your mind because to you it is easy to get around it. (as it is for me) Taxes are bad to you because you have wealth and why should you have to care? The only thing worth funding to you is the military and security because, surprise surprise, that is what you work in. You, like most Americans, as just self centered and that is ok. Just friggin own it.

But here...in the interest of playing your game I will ask you an honest question and will not make an attack whilst doing it. Read below:

Leaving out voter ID because it is inherently unfair in its current form (and you are on record as saying you would fund everyone getting an ID) don't you think that what is going on with many of these "Election Integrity Laws" are in fact making elections less fair? Was there a problem before the former President and the vast majority of the GOP (who didn't seem to have any issues with THEIR election in 2020) decided to tell everyone on a minute by minute basis (starting the summer BEFORE the election) that there was an issue? Do you believe massive voter fraud by Democrats happened and that any state, town, city or county rigged the election for Joe Biden? Should it not be the modus operandi of a supposed Democracy (or Democratic-Republic if you want to be pedantic) to make sure everyone who wants to vote and makes the effort should be able to? Should we not be trying to make it more available not less?

I am genuinely curious about your answers. I am asking with 100% honesty and with no plans to attack you no matter how you respond. So what say you?

I was unaware that a mayor or city could have an immigration policy.

And that majority Hispanic cities would be anti- (as you call them) "brown people" is curious to me.

What they appear to be is anti- being flooded with people in need beyond city resources.

The election processes changed (not by legislative action) in early 2020 due to Covid justifications/rationalizations just before summer 2020 in far too many places. (Note when Trump started complaining as you point out.) Unrequested absentee ballots went out (MI, per Forbes.com). Returned signatures were not checked (GA). Courts and administrators expanded deadlines (PA). Hardening the laws, by state legislatures, in those areas is needed.

Should everyone who wants to vote vote? No. Should every legal US citizen (with Federally funded ID) who wants to vote be able to vote? Yes. I'll admit last election I partook of early voting in my district. I'm good with early in-person. Absentee? Very limited circumstances. Make voting day Sunday+Monday? I'm in.

I believe we could take lessons on running elections from Elections Canada. They troll-tweeted the US with "paper ballots and hand counted with witnesses" rhetoric. Canada dunked on us. Check out what they tweeted. Their topics were surely not happenstance.

Sorry, but that's nonsense about signature matching in Georgia. And there's nothing inherently wrong with unrequested absentee ballots so long as they are validated coming in (which they were in Michigan and anywhere else).

You're veering awful close to Trump's Big Lie here.

Georgia went through three audits to make sure the checks happened. If nothing else, we got confidence in the Senate runoffs and that's never bad.

There's nothing inherently wrong, either, with requiring a request for absentee. Call it "closing the loop".
