Then you agree with me that we should drop all the nonsense about voter ID, which was just a fig leaf for Republican disenfranchisement?

No, we are not. The free part is not there. You have to pay for a driver's license, and you have to pay for a passport.

When we get to the free approved ID part, then get back with the board.

Then we have to make sure that every single person who wants to vote has that card, for free. And it has to be easy to get, just like registering to vote. Not standing in line at the SOS when you don't have time to because of a thousand reasons.

My expectations for such a "free ID" is quite low, though- as I'm sure people like you and others in the Racist party will find "reasons' why people should not get a card or ID.

No you get vitriol because you are a troll and you "just ask questions" and then disappear when people question you. No one thinks you have any interest in an honest discussion, your concern troll game has been weak since 2016.

Uh huh...how about all those people on the reservations in your state who don't have proper addresses that you and your ilk tried to prevent from voting?

I love you guys...you tell everyone not to trust the government, you cut funding to every ****ing service possible (especially for people who live in places you find less desirable) and then throw up your hands and wonder why people can't get what they need. (and are the first with your hand out when things go wrong i.e. it affects you and not them) You ***** about voter ids but do nothing to help others get them ("I have mine so **** off!") and then restrict the vote because hey if you can do it anyone can amirite?

Slander? If anything Kepler is being kind.

Well lets see...vax cards tell us who is healthy. Vaccines are free and available to everyone over 16. They have no barrier due to cost and are easily obtainable at hundreds of locations all across various cities and states including Wal-Marts, CVS, Walgreens, Doctors Offices...etc. They also, you know, HELP ****ING PROTECT PEOPLE!!1! They allow for the opening of schools and businesses without another outbreak. You would think by now you would get that after your side of the aisle screwed that up last year and killed half a million people (well the ones Cuomo didn't help kill but I digress) but hey...no one ever accused conservatives of thinking these days. And funny...plenty of vaccines are already required for various things (MMR for school, tetanus...etc.) why do you all of a sudden care about it for COVID? I mean we all know why but we want you to admit it.

On the other hand state ids cost money and require you to take time out of your day to go get one. (some states let you renew online) In many states, the poor dont have the means to get to the limited places that might exist and since they aren't driving it just might not be worth the hassle of wrangling up a ride, riding a bus for god knows how long or paying for a taxi/uber.

When you and your ilk allow for State IDs to be as easy to obtain as a vax card you will have a point. Otherwise you are just making another in your long line of logical fallacies. I will admit though you are doing a better job of not pretending you don't think for yourself. I applaud realism so keep it up by 2024 there won't be much pretense left and we will take your seriously. Not your beliefs mind you, but just that you are being forthright and honest.

                • It's not "mandatory". You could sit in your home without it. You could walk your block without it. You will only need it to engage in various activities where others want to make sure they are keeping themselves safe, also like we live in some sort of functional society. These are the same business we have been told should be able to choose who they serve and no one on the other side seemed to have an issue when it for because of the gays. Or they are government buildings or airports where no one had an issue with multiple layers of security when it was the Muslims. But don't worry, I'm sure all the true bootstrap individualists don't need any of those other places, they rely only on themselves.

Because it's a disingenuous point that ignores what led to that decision. Most curious how you ignore that part of it.

If it were done by people who actually wanted to see it legitimately succeed and they weren't being hamstrung by others at every turn, would it really cost that much? Also, even if it is hundreds per voter, I'd say still a good use of money to have a incredibly accessible voting system, since all else is moot if that is not working correctly. (Note here working correctly means making it as accessible as possible, not making it as difficult as possible in the false name of safety.)
