    Also, this is happening.

The fact that Joe Manchin is making it easier for Republicans to reject President Biden's judicial nominees is annoying.

The fact that Manchin applied a different standard to Donald Trump's judicial nominees makes it worse.

Alito is literally arguing this morning that the FDA approved Mifepristone illegally and that the public has no remedy for any issues with it.

I've also read that lowering this could have been contingent on a deal more or less in place from an organization who would float the money. So the $175 may not be arbitrary. In fact, the opposite could be true.

I actually have only minor issues with this. This is not an uncommon practice from what I've read, namely when defendants can't secure bond.

    This is a truism.

The laws are written by the rich for themselves. We do not have rule of law when it comes to wealth.

My numbers were the best numbers, a lot of Powerball experts, former winners well respected champions even ones who prefer scratchoffs or Mega Millions, that my ticket was the best setup they had ever seen! We are hearing, and I think everyone will agree with this, that the Corrupt Powerball along with its master Crooked Sleepy Joe Biden...a man who is, well frankly losing his mind I think we all know this...he rigged this Powerball to stop us just like he did when he ran against Obama in 2016 so that his son and the Biden Crime Family could buy Burisma in Ukraine and then attack Russia...which of course was a hoax we all know that all of Russia is a hoax because of Hillary and her bleached emails which of course had the real winning numbers which she stole and put on Hunter's laptop! And I am going to say something, and I probably shouldn't say it but when you have billions of dollars and are broke you can say anything you want in fact most experts agree everything I say is the best things...but I believe the head of the Powerball, again its corrupt because of Sleepy Joe Biden...its rigged like that McDonald's Monopoly game...if you saw that documentary its tremendous and ya know Netflix wasn't going to show it, Obama and Hillary wanted it kept a secret but we believe in free speech and we told Netflix to show it so the world will know how Hunter won it so many times...anyways the head of the Corrupt Powerball, that nasty evil woman Susan...is it Taylor or Tyler? I never know which it is but she is a nasty nasty woman and from what I hear she gave billions to the Bidens over the years because she loved Burisma...well she doesn't like me, she isn't my type anyways but she rigged this so Hillary could win and help Obama beat Crooked Joe Biden and keep me out of the White House".

"You can't have an election in the middle of a political season" -- and Trump accuses other people of being in decline
You can hear him say it at the link. There are just to many primary votee thingies.

Things not going well for Trump in the NY case...lawyers got owned by the judge who is not happy with them. Trial set for Tax Day.

And Trump had a PC thatPwent...poorly. I'm sure the media will mock his age and mental capacity any minute now.

That Lincoln wasn't first and foremost only an abolitionist isn't the only thing that would have driven him has he lived to see reconstruction. Perhaps Gopnik was engaging in a little hyperbole about what should have happened to trump in January of 2021, but the response by the justice department is one of the few issues I have with Biden. And his response is mostly driven by his reluctance to let go of the "when they go low we go high" mentality that he probably shares with Michele Obama, as well as his clinging to his well-known belief that he CAN work with the other side, and he SHOULDN'T politicize the DOJ. He's naive and wrong, but at least he comes to it from an acceptable hope.
A little hyperbole...no he is phucking wrong. Lincoln would have done nothing of the sort. Anyone who took American History in college would tell you that. Lincoln would have pardoned or paroled all of the Confederates including Lee and the other Generals so long as they disavowed the rebellion and went home. (like Grant at Appomattox) He would have released prisoners too...because to him they never stopped being Americans. This bloodthirsty vindictive version of Lincoln you seem to think existed is a farce and an insult to him. Bastardizing American History to prove a marginally true point is not something we should be doing...Lincoln did a lot of very shady stuff (suspend Habius Corpus, Hang the Indians in Mankato...etc) but he would have bent over backwards to make Reconstruction work, he literally chose Johnson to appease Southern Dems for after the war, which is why his death screwed this country.

dx is closer to right Washington would have gone nuts. He might have been nice to Lee though since they are related ;^)

Very few Presidents after Washington would do what you and that nimrod from The New Yorker (or whatever) advocate...and the ones who would are the ones you would not want making those decisions. I would take Biden over most in that position because he got that any chance at mending fences would die if he basically goes Trump on the bit. He was elected not to do that.
