A positive PCR test does not mean you “have COVID”. PCR tests seek portions of the virus SARS-COV-2, not the disease COVID-19. If you’re asymptomatic, you do not have the disease and are unlikely to be infectious.

So now they recommend a negative test after 5 days to end quarantine for positive cases? But just before now the recommendation was to NOT test for 90 days because of the high likelihood of false positives????

I'm betting it depends on the test. Athletes are constantly going into COVID protocol, and then coming out once they have negative tests.

So being a parent, you should look into the proper test to clear your kids- the ones with low false positive rates.

False positives are extraordinarily rare. For antigen or PCR.
