I don't like them either but if you think wearing a mask into the grocery store is a burden then you've had a pretty easy life (and good for you! No shade thrown here).
Ha, a grocery store is one specific task. I have no problem wearing one there for a half hour. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people start wearing masks on their own accord during flu season when they go to a store.

Hey, I don't think you're a Dumpy. Dumpies are a huge subset of obstinate, short-sighted people with strawman arguments that lead nowhere and avoid engaging in the simplest solution of just ****ing following science because it's real and the other cloudy stuff in their brains isn't. But they are not an identical set and you appear to fall into that penumbra.

Why is this your hill to (maybe actually) die on, dude? What are you gaining?

      • If I die from COVID as a healthy, vaccinated person in their 30s we're all doomed regardless of what measures are taken.

Can you be specific on what the issue is? Seeing athletes in Tokyo wear masks suggest that you can do a lot of activities wearing one. So I'm having a tough time understanding how hard they are on a person. Heck, even swimmers wear one, and are wet.

Knowing that healthcare workers have been wearing them forever, especially dentists, there's plenty of people out there who have been wearing them prior to this pandemic- and without issue.

Just saying they don't work without why isn't all that helpful.

No, you would just be one who is genetically disadvantaged to COVID.

This pandemic was never going to kill everyone. Just like Spanish Flu, or the plague. Both had people get infected and have no reaction.

What we are trying to do here is to prevent as many deaths as we possibly can. Just like for air and water quality.

No. Perfectly healthy people catch wicked awful diseases and die all the time. We wouldn't be doomed, you'd just be unlucky.

              Or lucky.

I never said masks don't work. But just because you have no problem wearing one doesn't mean I have to agree. When you live on earth for 30+ years without wearing a mask and then are supposed to wear one at all times no matter where you go it's comical to dismiss people who have had enough and just shrug off wearing a mask as no big deal. If that's how you feel about it, more power to you. And I already talked about children who struggle to wear masks which has directly impacted me. I don't have to give you or anyone else more details about that.

So sorry that a virus that has killed millions is such an inconvenience for you. You poor, entitled ****wad.

Its just so strange that the people who whined the loudest about no lockdown, open things up, let's get back to normal, won't do the smallest little things to make that happen.

Wear the ****ing mask. Get the vaccine. And quit your crying. You ain't nothing special.
What kind of cheese are you planning to put on top?

Barring some limited medical exceptions which make up probably a tiny fraction of a percent of the population, wearing a mask is no more onerous that wearing pants. Everyone else is just a bunch of pansy-*** whiners who think the world is owed to them and don't care about the impact of their actions on others.

And here it is. The angry USCHO cult is coming out in full force. Why are you telling me to get the vaccine? And despite mentioning an issue with children who can't wear the mask, it's just all about me being entitled? After 18 ****ing months. Absolutely hysterical.

                          I mean, it's not like I'd change...

I meant (obviously) lucky for you since you miss what happens next.
