But now EVERY. GOD. DAMN. THING. IS. POLITICAL.

Frankly I wish every last person out there who CHOOSES to forego a vaccination but could otherwise get one catches a bad case of COVID. Far more people than most are willing to admit only can be brought around with very harsh measures. And for those who think they need to read between the lines to catch my actual meaning, yes, I am wishing ill health or even death on those folks. The right-wing nowadays needs to be beaten over the head (both physically and metaphorically) to get even the most simple of messages. When you see a loved one struggle to gasp at a breath and their lungs burn when doing so, and they are terrified of dying, and you can literally see the fear in their faces, all because they refused to believe what were simple, knowable truths because they didn't jibe with their ****ing politics, maybe then you'll see how wrong you all were.

So far, however, antibody and T-cell levels have been good enough for at least limited immunity in people infected very early in the pandemic, so we have at least that bit of data.

        (otherwise, what's your point?)
Yes vaccinated elderly stopped dying because of Covid and are back to dying because of obesity, diabetes with complication, and the presence of multiple chronic conditions.

Which means #TeamCovid no longer cares.

Yep. Same with Smallpox, Polio, Mumps, etc.

The odds of fellow morons dying is just getting higher if they listen. At this point, just let him go for it.

It's pretty clear they just want death, in any way, since they are so happy to devour their own. Kind of ironic that they so refuse to take the dumpy vaccine.

I openly wonder, though, at this point how many dumpers who are getting sick even have health care- since they are so against everyone having it.

It's like everything else on the Right. The few rich who egg them on have every benefit: they have great health care, they are fully vaccinated, they get their kids the best education, they are completely tolerant of feminism and LGBTQ. They do lines of coke and they never go to church and the only reason they aren't fully atheist is it would be bad for their business connections. And then the mass of vegetables they have radicalized have none of this, live in squalor, and are perpetually in pain and blame that pain on immigrants, blacks, and women. And they'll be the ones who get sick and either die or carry horrific medical problems the rest of their lives.

The best revenge on the Right is the utter failure of their own lives, caused by themselves. They murder each other and their loves ones because they would rather hate than face reality. And they have been that way since Ashurbanipal.

Here's the real odd thing- the rich that you talk about *might* have gotten the vaccine very early on, before it became SO political. Particularly the party leadership- it's VERY, VERY likely that most of the Racists who are telling people to not get a vaccine have been vaccinated since December.

Think about that for a second- Congress really was some of the earliest vaccinated. So how many of them who are out now telling people that the vaccine is such a bad thing to do have actually gotten vaccinated???? The hypocrisy to THEIR OWN FOLLOWERS! And the result isn't that they are hurting someone's feelings- this is very much a life and death equation, or if not that- a healthcare bankruptcy vs. being able to survive question.

Oh I doubt any of them are unvaccinated. Sure, there are some first class morons in Congress who aren't -- Gym Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Liefenstahl, Gozer -- but those ****sticks don't matter. The guys with the cash are all completely protected. They don't have any illusions about rightwing conspiracies because they foment them to keep their voterserfs bleeding out the eyes and anus.

Nice work. 18 months of "evidence" and then points to a "study" that uses another model. CovidZombie.

                          • Someone I know as a passing acquaintance on Facebook(she's married to a guy I went to high school with) just lost her mid-thirties son to Covid.

Lives in Florida, both she and her husband die-hard Trumpers. And now she's on Facebook begging for sympathy for her loss.

Sorry, I have no more ****s to give. Remember, it wasn't the Covid that killed him, it was the co-morbidities. Should have taken better care of his health.

Sorry it has to be this way, but you ****ers made your bed, now you get to lie in it. Don't come crawling to me for sympathy.

Covid's just a hoax any way.
What kind of cheese are you planning to put on top?

Wow, thanks for such an enlightening post with zero context.

When we want to assess our own risk from COVID, we need to look at the data at large and not be prey to anecdotal evidence like 'my friend's friend knows someone perfectly healthy who has died of COVID' I have highlighted for you the categories at risk.

According to the CDC’s own data, over 95% of COVID deaths had an average of 4 comorbidites (many of which were lifestyle/nutrition related). Additionally, nearly 80% of COVID hospitalizations were in overweight or obese people.

                              Your health is your responsibility.

                              • People unwilling to take simple steps to improve your own health while demanding that others take steps to for your health— and believe that if they don’t take the steps they’re selfish, while also believing that your unwillingness to change isn’t selfish.

A lot of crazy ideas have taken hold in the past 18 months, but one of the craziest is living a really unhealthy lifestyle but blaming others when you become sick.

                                https://www.cdc.gov/pcd/issues/2021/21_0123.htm

In this cross-sectional study of 540,667 adult hospitalized patients with COVID-19, 94.9% had at least 1 underlying medical condition. Hypertension and disorders of lipid metabolism were the most frequent, whereas obesity, diabetes with complication, anxiety disorders, and the total number of conditions were the strongest risk factors for severe COVID-19 illness.
