        • I'm a little late with this, but yes, I hope Rudy suffers serious COVID symptoms and dies. I know this is highly unlikely as republicans have efficiently created a system whereby rich, white people have access to full, immediate, comprehensive care that is currently being rationed to 99% of the country, but a fellow can hope.

          • My dad was placed in a nursing home last year following a series of strokes. He has dealt with two brain tumors in his life. Numerous complications from said tumors. Complications from diabetes. Heart issues and more. On more than one occasion, my family thought "this is it, he can't beat this" and then he did. He was stronger than any of us thought. Just after Thanksgiving, he was diagnosed with Covid. On Friday, my mom signed paperwork to add hospice care to his team. They allowed her to visit him on Friday and again Sunday (she wore the full PPE the nursing staff would wear). This morning, he passed away. Just shy of 70 years old (would have turned 70 on Dec 31). Sure, some might say his quality of life wasn't the best even before the diagnosis. But he had willed himself to live through so much more. IT DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN THIS WAY.

BOSTON (CBS) – Hospitals will curtail inpatient elective procedures that can be safely postponed starting Friday, Gov. Charlie Baker announced Monday. He said the state’s hospital system is now “struggling” with the increase of hospitalizations since the “rapid increase of new positive cases in the wake of Thanksgiving.”

Well, thanks everyone. This is great.

                            • So, today being December 7, a natural comparison should be Pearl Harbor. 2,403 US personnel died on Dec 7, 1941. Remember how angry this country was after that day of American deaths. How many PH's are going to die today, and the result is still a lot of people in denial of what is going on. Or denial that we can do anything about it. Sad.

If this was on the up and up, then I assume we would have heard more about it.
