Kyle doesn’t understand HIT. Kyle has not even looked at other countries numbers or even the worst case projection models for the US. Kyle doesn’t know what IFR is. Don’t be like Kyle.
Kyle (CNN) - BedWetter
There are approximately 328.2 million people in the US. To get to the low end of herd immunity, about 60% of the population must catch Covid. That's about 196,920,000 cases. The current US death rate is about 2.96%. So that's 5,836,679 deaths necessary for herd immunity.
The very same type of calculation has been constructed right here on this board.
This is the exact same type of info that has led so many to panic hysterically.

For instance, what if before 11/3 a vaccine came out (pretty unlikely it seems) but the vaccine was "endorsed" (if that would be the correct term) by say Dr. Fauci, the CDC and certain medical practitioners, but Donald Trump enthusiastically pushes it? Do you get it then? Do you endorse mandatory vaccinations?
I really don't know how I would feel about it at that point. If someone comes out with a vaccine after 11/3 and it doesn't seem politicized anymore, I don't know that I'd endorse at that time mandatory vaccinations, either. I understand they do testing, but I'd like to see it go through a much larger test run (and try to insure no unseen side effects) before I require it of people. That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Yeah, I wasn't really limiting it, understanding that it might be medical groups, it might be manufacturers, or politicians.
