Not to mention there are a lot of things that might not be fatal but can really hurt your quality of life. We were never going to be able to lockdown forever but certainly there can and should be ways to minimize the spread that don’t impact people’s day to day life.

Its true...and what was weird was I knew someone who got Epstein-Barr (tied to cancer) and you could tell the people who watched House because we all knew what it was and what it looked like. Man he was in rough shape...really friggin scary.

        Swan,

I got brain fog when I got one of the first two jabs. Lasted a couple of days and scared the bejesus out of me. It was kind of fun at first cause it felt more like I was on some THC...but anxiety hit pretty quickly. Good luck buddy!

Funny you mention that (or, not? whatever). Last night I ate two 1:1:1 THC:CBD:CBG gummies and took a benadryl. between all that and the fog I was almost as stupid as a 2022 republican.
I gotta little bit of smoke and a whole lotta wine...

I got EB back in 2019, let me tell you, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Liver numbers were shot, my spleen was swollen to the size of my liver, I turned yellow, I couldn't sleep because my liver enzymes were causing my entire body to itch from the inside, even though I was constantly exhausted. I lost almost 15 lbs because I couldn't eat. It's a ****ing nightmare as an adult.

                • Nice! Good choice for the weekend. Just in case.
I don't want to scare anyone off with the new booster given my experience. 12-16 hours of being uncomfortable is nothing compared to a week (or more!) of being sick.

                  • I mean some of us literally have no reaction to the new booster so I wouldn’t assume the worst either

                    • I thought I saw that CVS is indicating you get the latest Omicron booster whether it's Pfizer or Moderna. I'd think the only reason to prefer Pfizer is if Moderna gave you bad SE.

                        • Are you still supposed to wait if you just had it? Not sure if that guidance has changed since the recent variants don't appear to give a hell if you've had it recently. Maybe it is still a good idea to give the immune system a break?

Yes. IIRC it's like 2-3 months wait.

Best bet is to call your PCPs office and ask….. I suspect the Covid shot will become like the flu shot… something they suggest you get every fall.

at least 90 days is my understanding of current guidance, and I think it's as much of a desire to spread out the timeframe for high levels of neutralizing antibodies as anything else.
