Related to this, when I see groups of the absolute most miserable, cruel, monstrous people who are apparently friendly with each other (like the greater Trump Cinematic Universe), or at least form little social bubbles, I think, wow, I guess this is what you know? That this is what human relationships are? Just a bunch of utter *****s who will kill you for a quarter, and these are your "friends"?

And you don't choose to just go live in a cave? Especially when a lot of these *******s are extremely rich, and they could go live in a really nice cave? Or just, I dunno, surround yourself with different people? Any other people will do.

Go ask the average GOP voter what they think and who they blame. If they haven't left yet they never will. Reminds me of a time I was talking to a tech at work, and how he was so against labor unions because he could negotiate his salary. The irony made me speechless- he was a contract worker instead of a direct hire. The management at Kelly Services love that kind of attitude.

He lost his radio gig over this but he had no future in the GOP even before he turned on Trump he was going to be stuck on Newsmax. He is in a much better position now even if he took a hit to the bank account in the short term...he is the poster boy for the "Never Trump Right".

Yeah, he stared into the abyss and practically touched it. You don't radically shift from that to even centrist without giving up a lot. Regardless of appearances on Maher which might make you a couple grand. It doesn't replace your income.

Went round with a kid in his 20s the other day. He has 'researched deeply' while being thoroughly immersed in the silo. Had all the talking points- how dare they deny him when he is refusing an experimental drug, the vaccine is dangerous for cardiac patients. The Drs are breaking their Hippocratic oath of do no harm by denying this Pt. Kid is a perfect example of someone who is so ignorant they don't know they are ignorant. I couldn't help myself. Asked did he have a degree in this? I knew his degree was in CJ. No? well I have 2 and have worked with transplant pts, know folks who are on the transplant team and know candidates. Isn't that nice, he replied. Everyone claims to know someone and my degrees mean nothing if I am not willing to stick to the 'do no harm'.

I made some comment that of course he won't be asking for medical help because they are so untrustworthy. (This kid has severe anaphylaxis with any exposure to certain allergens and has spent his fair share of time being saved by those pesky, lying Docs.)

Meanwhile I am reliving the times that patients died waiting, patients failed being a donor, patients had the transplant fail, patients couldn't afford to donate or get the organ. And I have a guy I know commenting on my FB post (BBC article) who is waiting for an organ and listing all the things they have to agree to- appropriate- to get on the list.
