I've seen a few posts that point out even with delta becoming single digits for share of cases, it still makes up a decent amount of hospitalizations. So we have to be careful how we're interpreting graphs of covid without variant context.Code:As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10: College Hockey 6 College Football 0 BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1

So 26% of the population is contributing 55% of cases, 69% of hospitalizations, and 62% of the deaths.
And that's over the last 4 weeks. The spike has been the last few days.
A Dumpy says what?
* Whoops, sorry, that's MN. MN's vaccination percentage is 72%. So, 28% of the population has 55% of cases, 69% of hospitalizations, and 62% of the deaths.

I think it's probably safe to assume this data isn't differentiating between the boosted and not, either.
It's always fun when the person saying "the data doesn't support the narrative" tries to make their case by pointing to data that supports the narrative.
Honk.

Not to mention 30-40% of “Covid hospitalizations” are patients who test positive upon arrival and are arriving for something unrelated to Covid.
Ready for your 4th shot?

Re Covid earlier than March- both my kiddo and I were at large Indoor Track and Field Meets in Feb 2020. Last week of Feb both of us came down with mild fever, Flu like sx and GI sx. Stuff tasted and smelled funny. I still do not have a normal sense of smell.
Haven't seen much mention of Long-covid risk with new variant (too early) but most everyone I know with it had very mild symptoms and then got all the post viral stuff. Long past the surge we are going to see impact.
Currently we have no ICU beds in MA and the local hospital has the National Guard in to prop it up- yet Gov Baker is not really saying much. My foray out into the world today- peeps with no masks. You have got to be deficient in intellect to think that is a good idea. Local positivity is 20% or greater in local towns. People are stoopid.

I keep seeing info that Omicron isn't as bad- but at the same time, there's a surge in hospitals. So how bad is this new variant to the antivaxxors?

LOFL!!
MONTREAL (AP) — Passengers who filmed themselves partying without masks aboard a chartered flight from Montreal to Mexico face being stranded after three airlines refused to fly them home to Canada.
Sunwing Airlines cancelled the return charter flight from Cancun that had been scheduled for Wednesday and Air Transat and Air Canada also both said they will refuse to carry the passengers.
Adding insult to injury, they were branded “idiots” Wednesday by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
A bad cause requires many words.
