Honest question, other than in-person learning and in-person drinking/dining in bars and restaurants in a handful of states, what is still "locked-down" in this country? Is the only thing republicans can offer in terms of what STILL needs to be done to put the nail in the coffin of coronavirus "end the lockdown?" Some republican representative repeated it for the billionth time when asked about Biden's covid-relief bill by some NPR talking head. How many decades has it been since republicans had a new thought or a useful idea? 3? 4? More?

The city of Ramsey (Minnesota) has voted to stop enforcing Gov. Tim Walz's mask mandate, arguing that the statewide effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is infringing on individuals' constitutional rights.
In 4-3 vote Tuesday night, the City Council approved the measure put forth by council members Ryan Heineman and Chelsee Howell stating that city resources "physical, financial or otherwise shall not be used to enforce any of Gov. Walz's Emergency Executive Orders."
It was not immediately clear what liability the city might face as a result of the vote, which was discouraged by city attorney Joe Langel.
"You can't ignore [the executive order] because you disagree with it," he said before the vote. "It still has the full force of the law."
Mayor Mark Kuzma, who returned to work Monday after recovering from COVID, voted against the measure. "I'm disappointed in the council bringing this resolution," he said before the vote.
Republicans have nothing better to do than to fight the people fighting the virus. I can think of a million things they could be doing that would be more productive. They must be ****ing bored.**NOTE: The misleading post above was brought to you by Reynold's Wrap and American Steeples, makers of Crosses.

I just wish we could have them sign a waiver where they don't qualify for public health care dollars if they choose this.

Anyway- what does need planned is turning everything back on. Even in the states where they declare everything open, it's going to take a lot of time to have all items get going again. At game one, Texas might get a sell out. Maybe. After that, I bet many will stay home after being anxious worrying about if the people sitting next to you have the vaccine or not.
Same goes to pretty much everything that has gotten hit the hardest- vacation and entertainment. I know we will be waiting for our first cruise until probably 2022. Maybe we will get on an airplane for a long flight later this year- dunno. Having traveled a LOT with other people (we've been on way too many cruises in our lifetimes, but will do more)- I do not trust people. Everyone blames ships when there an outbreak of X, but having seen the insides of how they work, and the data coming from the home port area- every single outbreak is someone going on a cruise who was too sick to travel. All of them. People will lie or stretch the truth to go on a trip. And seeing that there's an entire political party who pans this whole ending process, that means half of the people we travel with will likely not be vaccinated, and will ignore mask requests/laws.
It may not be bad for me, but if these morons cause another shut down for being stupid.... yea, I don't want to sit on a ship for a week in the home port because one person started an outbreak.
I digress- those industries will need some help to make sure their employees keep their heads above water until they are called back to work. And even for them- the ships and planes that have been scrapped when they were an active part of a fleet....

I was a personal fan of cruises as a vacation option. Was really looking forward to a couple of them I had planned in the back of my mind. To be honest, I don't think I will ever get on a cruise again.**NOTE: The misleading post above was brought to you by Reynold's Wrap and American Steeples, makers of Crosses.

Using the Vaccine finder...the closet place I get can get a vaccine right now is Saint Cloud. (the 16th...I can get one sooner if I am willing to drive well over an hour) I obviously have the time to be able to do that but I would have to drive by myself which I believe is frowned upon whilst getting the shot ;^)Last edited by Handyman; 03-10-2021, 10:27 AM."It's as if the Drumpf Administration is made up of the worst and unfunny parts of the Cleveland Browns, Washington Generals, and the alien Mon-Stars from Space Jam."
