      • I was looking at the death numbers. In over ten states, one in a thousand people have died from covid in 7 months. In New Jersey they’re closing in on 1/500.
        Code:
As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10:
College Hockey 6 College Football 0
        BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1

        • France going into lockdown Part Deux. The Virus doesn't seem to understand that there is some 2020 "Science" that should be followed. Bad Virus.

Oh and Masks. Masks + Lockdowns and the Virus still doesn't give a Fok. #Science

          France's mask-mandate insanity:
7/20 - all public indoor spaces, enforced w/fines
          8/9 - outdoors / cities
          8/18 - all workplaces
          8/27 - pedestrians & cyclists / cities

And yet, over 45,000 cases yesterday alone. This is the equivalent of 225,000 in the U.S. Because masks work!

Is it time to wear two masks? "Look Ma I got two masks on. Can you change my diaper"

                      Just ignore the trollbot.

We can safely say that he's at worst dangerously misleading and at best sorta adjacent to the truth. But never correct, never accurate.

The early twin towers, NY and NJ, should get an asterisk. They were the first on the beach so their numbers are skewed insanely high. They were hit when we knew nothing and when the airwaves and interwebs had not been saturated with warnings. I think it is a much more fair comparison to start the clock on everybody in June, and from then on NY and NJ are on line with the other first world states.

The really scary places are those that have actually been rising as we learn more, which suggests some combination of local government malfeasance and anti-science in the population to the level of cult mass suicide proportions. So, ID, MT, ND, SD, WI, IA, NE, and especially FL are really bad.

I'm pretty sure I read around here that everyone knew or should have known back in February and March how dangerous this would be, and anyone with even a half a brain and willing to act could have prevented all but just a few deaths in this country.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Yes, that's true. There are many smart people working across the country that knew what a corona virus outbreak of this type was likely to do even before that. We didn't plan ahead. Instead we do what we always do. We built houses in flood plains in Houston where the water can't drain and we prayed the hurricane would never come.

This is why humans as a species are doomed and the United States as a country is on the brink.
