Quaker isn't a reno, when is the last time you've met a Vandal? Basically you're upset ND got to keep their mascot. Guess UND should have better buttered up the Sioux.

    • NoDak will always be the Sioux. It's not a political statement, it's just cooler.

This is why people die. We each have our truth but over time the world slowly evolves towards a higher civilization and the Olds don't fit anymore. I am simply too conservative to dispense with the Sioux. If I had been born 40 years earlier I'd have died on the hill of the Dartmouth Indians.

I'm objectively wrong, but NoDak will always be the Sioux. It's cooler.

      And now, some Nazis.

          That is a ****ing tragedy.

          Outkast 1992-2021 29 years
          CSA 1861-1865 4 years.

So if it's about history, there should be 7x the number of Outkast statues as Confederate statues.

We are right back to the same discussion when Kap kneeled.

                  • And to be fair, I shouldn't be surprised at all that I saw a customer wearing a shirt that said "Black Guns Matter," but of course, I was.

Job would be great if it wasn't for the ***** customers.

And I read on Twitter yesterday that a woman in TX just received 5 years in prison for accidentally voting illegally. She was confused on her situation/status, and voted. Want to guess what the color of her skin is?

                          • On July 2, 1917, the East St. Louis Race Riot took
place. It really started on July 1, when some white guys drove through a Black neighborhood, opening fire on some Black men. At the time, the city was mixed race due to WWI, and the need for workers. White workers were unionized and on strike, the Black workers were brought up from the south as scabs, adding to the always palpable racial distrust/tension of the era.

A group of Black men retaliated for the shooting, randomly shooting into a car filled with white men. Those men turned out to be a news reporter and two policemen. White men then started a retaliation of their own, stopping by the fire stations along their way, cutting the hoses, and then setting fire to sections of the city. At least 75 people died and hundreds more injured.

                            The Good Old Days.
