      Maybe I missed something but is there anything specific what Obama said about McCain...or even what McCain said about Obama? Regardless, today's GOP and Trump in particular have perfected this art.

        I'm really not talking about what one candidate says about another. Most candidates are too slick for that. They let it be said by PACs, or lackeys or it gets spewed on social media like this message board.
        That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

          Still wonder whether any Obama pacs did what you literally (rather than approximately) claimed.

          But of course Trump tweets exactly that stuff out on a daily basis - and almost must believe it himself by now.

                  The EPA is looking to support increases in mercury produced by coal plants.

                  Personally have a family member who is numb from the waste down due to mercury poisoning.
