    "Oedipus" was a made up name by Sophocles, or the folktale tradition he adapted. It is typically translated as "swollen foot" from him being left to die of exposure on a mountaintop by Dad of the Year, King Laius. That's what I was taught.

    But TIL this is not philologically accurate. It translates more closely as a reference to him guessing the Sphinx riddle.

    "That guy who knows feet."

          Took a while longer but finished Book 5 of Dune. And started Book 6. Almost done with the father's epic story.

            I recently came across a unique book focused on attract money wealth subconscious reprogramming: https://danielbenabraham.com/success...-affirmations/. It's not your typical motivational read; instead, it's designed as a reprogramming tool to influence your consciousness. I've been dedicating about 5 minutes each morning to read it, and I can honestly sense a positive shift in how I feel about myself after incorporating this practice into my routine.

              I would say the entire thing is propped up by Book One. Without it there is nothing. However, I actually enjoyed Book 5 very much once I got into it. Book 6 has been interesting so far.

                          Roger Stone would have been perfect for that bunch. I understand he did some work for the Nixon campaign, but he was probably a rookie then and not part of the team.
