For the Wings, not even one defenseman in their two first round picks? Oy.

On one hand, confidence. On the other, arrogance?

Of course, the Detroit/Michigan media is all over the, "Did we STEAL Zadina? Oh yassss we diiiiiid!!!!" story.

I'll say he's already got pretty good size for his height though, at 6'0" 192 lb.

I'm upset the Wings picked him. Yes, he was one of the "best" ranked kids to fall to the Wings at sixth, but holy eff is his attitude writing checks he can't cash yet. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.

Sounds like Hanifin and Lindholm to the Flames; Hamilton, Ferland and Fox to the 'Canes.

Plus with these QMJ guys, it's a crapshoot as to how much you can believe their numbers.

I think Kenny's starting to sweat a bit, and is throwing darts.

@TheFourthPeriod: It’s an eight-year deal worth $88M. Also the first formal offer made to Tavares camp from Isles. https://twitter.com/thefourthperiod/...08003018641408

              Salary dump.
Yes, though Grubauer could be a good starting goalie and COL using their cap space to get him isn't a bad move. Kind of a win for all involved.

Orpik on waivers for purpose of buying him out.

                  That's a fair deal. 8 x 11 AAV. it's not crazy but it's not Wilponing out.

If Tavares doesn't want to be on the Island, then I wouldn't want him. But I'm not a Isles fan, so whatever.

I was thinking more Nassau Coliseum.

                            Belmont works, too.

Can you tell Queens/Brooklyn from Nassau?
