    • I am down to 191. A year ago I was 211.

        • I noticed last year at this time, I weighed like 235. Now I'm down to 206.7, and I learned no alcohol has been a major factor in that.

For a productive workout, I drink Creatine Monohydrate. I chose a product from Optimum Nutrition because I had seen their products before and heard good reviews about them. Creatine energizes me for a run.
Since I haven't been to the gym in a year, I needed something cardio-ish to replace the eliptical that also isn't running (which I do enough of). I started doing burpees, god do I hate them but damn if they don't do the job.

                  • Between my job where I'm walking a lot 40 hours a week, a focused workout program, eliminating booze, and drastically reducing added sugar, I'm at 202 and will be below 200 by next week. I'm even starting to see some definition in my abs.

That said, I need to add purposeful lifting to my routine. Picking up totes full of 64 fl apple juice containers and 2 liters of pop for others is hard.

                    • About sugar:

Never quit it, but I became much more intentional with baked goods and ice cream. Not a weekly thing, not something I do when it's Friday night and I have no date. I'm asking myself if I actually want to eat it now, and if I have people to share it with. It works. Prevents me from mindlessly eating the entire tray of cookies, muffins, etc.

So, it's been a couple months. Still using it or has it become a $2000 coat rack?

                          • Stepped on a scale today and was under 200 lbs (197.1) for the first time since I was probably 16 (I just turned 40, for reference).

I don't recommend going through what started this (Diagnosed Type 2 and had open heart surgery about 12 weeks ago...235 before surgery), but who knew that diet and exercise actually works (besides everyone).

Oh, and yes, I've been doing fine.

Today was my 122nd consecutive day running on it.

Edit: I miscounted: 146 consecutive days.

                                Good job outta you.

I need to get my consistency back. I was doing 30-45 minutes 5x a week, then stress and terrible summer allergies struck, and I'm having a hard time moving.
