I prefer my beer to have flavor. I've had Merica, and it was good for an American Lager, but the bar is so low for American Lagers, that really doesn't say much.

Sure, I'll take a Raspberry. Thanks!

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I’ll bring up what I have and we’ll sort it out.

Excelsior has a dragonfruit milkshake IPA that tastes like a dragonfruit milkshake. It’s phenomenal. I’m not sure bbdl has had raw dragonfruit before else I don’t think he would have tagged on it.

Dragonfruit is NOT sweet. The flavor is absolutely spot on. Delicious.

Also: two new tin signs in three stops! My garage is starting to fill up.

That would be a major step up for Excelsior. I don't mind them, but they are just a beer to me. Nothing wrong with it, but just a beer. Also, many breweries have tried to nail dragonfruit and many come across as "meh" to many people, at best.

So, if this is correct, Excelsior just kicked everyone in the balls with this beer. I'll have to check it out.

99% of people have never eaten dragonfruit.

Which is why the negative reviews, I imagine. Although I'd say that your 99% is probably high.

I’m fairly confident 99% is low. Most people have never touched a dragonfruit ever much less tasted one. And 99.999% haven’t tasted one in the last 12 months.

Guessing more than 1% have tried it, given its availability in heavily populated countries:

It has its origins in Mexico, South America, and Central America, but New World settlers probably brought it to Southeast Asian nations like Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines, where it remains an important part of the dietary fruit intake. Dragon Fruits are originally from South America.
