        Hope so, it's terrible.

I can't find the cite but some indy group tested the 50 states for degree of gerrymandering and the result was something like 16 of them were deemed "egregious" and 12 of those were Republican.

There's a reason the GOP always shoots down attempts to create a robust FEC. Cheating is doing very well for them.

Are you saying that if people contacted you (assuming you were an elected official) continually about crazy notions that you wouldn't do the same? If Flaggy were contacting his senators' or rep's offices about Wal-Mart death camps, that elected official would be well warranted in sending out a cease and desist letter. Contacting an office 50 times for a single issue might also warrant such a response.

Then again, Johnson may simply be scared to confront the truth of the matter in person.

It sounds to me like the vast vast majority of his calls were just attempting to get through. Given how swamped offices have been for the last couple months, calling 50 times and only getting through on the 50th one seems very par for the course.

Perhaps it's a combination of both, and the tone can be set based upon how that person runs for office.

Calling about how he wont show up at a Town Hall to discuss repealing ObamaCare is a "crazy notion"? I mean I guess, but that is kind of his job. If he doesnt like it he can move back to WI and screw a deer instead of screwing the country.

I can honestly say I wouldn't do what Johnson did. My company has a Help Desk and we have the same people call every day. You think we can tell them to cease and desist? No. Just answer the phone, answer the question, and hang up nicely. It's not hard.

I do believe that my attempt to have a little fun while calling out Johnson as being in the wrong here was not executed very well.

First off, considering who my representation is, I'm not calling a Senator any time soon...

However, there comes a point when asking turns from insistence to badgering. I've written my representatives (albeit at the state level) about things, such as the draconian low speed limits. I ask my questions, and they say "no". Asked and answered, I'm not going to write them again about that without further evidence, which I had already provided to ensure I have a solid basis for my argument. Incessantly asking would be along the lines of the dude from CNN that whined about not getting a question during the then President-Elect's press conference.

OK, let's have one person call you up 200 times with the same question. I wonder if you'll have the same response...
