I think of Mississippi as a dripping towel wrapped around your face (surrounded by people who didn't get through the third grade).

Youre right. It's hot in MN, but not oppressive like the gulf. I think this is our first taste of true gulf climate in a while.

I also think there's also something to be said for people who experience it daily during the summer vs us blowing the top off the wet bulb.

You get used to it fast. Today it is 85 with a 71 dew point making it feel like 91, and it’s beautiful. A few days ago I wouldn’t agree.
the state of hockey is good

        • One of my daughters lives in NOLA area. 100 plus for nearly 3 weeks running--and humid. She played hockey and loved fall and winter sports in WI, but still likes where she is now. Her summer is our winter.

                  devastating

So that's like 20 feet of snow. In 10 hours.

There was a fun little effect like this in Turkiye a few years ago. The flash floods hit the burning trees, yanked them out of the ground, and pulled them down river, still on fire, to where they overflowed the banks and deposited them in towns, which were then burned down.

                    Mother Nature doesn't like us.
