              Locally, the people moaning near me about the air are also the ones who scream whenever we bring up banning gas powered leaf blowers that pollute and make a deafening noise all day

                        We just got a strike so strong the thunder may have broken our window. It sounded like our roof collapsed.

                          I'd check for tree damage nearby once it passes. Could have been a tree falling that caused some of the noise. That's pretty insane.

                          • The rainy season appears to be officially upon us here, and it's amazing how quickly the switch can be flipped from absolutely no rain for 5 months and oppressive heat into non-stop rain and cooler temps. The number of days in which there's a happy medium is currently at 0.
