How could anyone possibly play well enough to even win two sets against Nadal today, let alone three? Soderling would crush a ground stroke and Nadal would take it behind his body and simply direct it into the only open spot on the court for a winner. W.T.F.?!
Federer and Nadal are huge favorites at Wimbledon, with Roddick third IMO, Soderling and possibly Tsonga (and maybe Berdych) as darkhorses, and Murray and Djokovic wild cards (their games seem messed up right now but they have the talent to advance deep). That's my take, anyway.
That's just it. Nadal is so good at defense - you can kill a shot, but if he gets to it, he's so good at getting depth on those desperation shots (well, for anyone else they're desperation shots) that he's right back in the point.
I can't imagine what it's like to play against a guy who forces you to ace to hold serve and hit clean winners on every other point.
