Just following online so I have no commentary to add, but it looks like Serena just fought off 3-4 match points against Bartoli and has forced a second-set tiebreaker.

5 unseeded women and 4 unseeded men have made the final 16. At least two QF on both sides will be unseeded as the draw works out so they face each other in the R16. If Nadia Petrova upsets #4 seed Azarenka it is guaranteed that an unseeded woman will make the SF.

Schiavone upset by Paszek, 11-9 in the third. Neither player had a match point until the end. Both players were two points from the match repeatedly, but always lost that crucial point.

Looks like Serena's back in a groove. That is very bad news for the rest of the field.

Schiavone and Paszek in a marathon match. It is now 9-9 in the 3rd set.

    ...and Paszek upsets Schiavone.

BTW, she may have the biggest rack in the field. Even bigger than Goerges'.

As a tennis player, Ivanovic makes a good fashion model. In 2008 she beat Petra Cetkovska 6-0 6-0...today she lost 6-2 7-6 (7-0 in the tiebreaker). Wozniacki, Sharapova and Azareka advanced, #32 Pironkova upset #2 Zvonereva and Pervak upset #11 Petkovic. Serena is winning her match. Schiavone is in the 3rd set trailing 3-2 in a suspended match from yesterday.

Nadal won in straight sets, #10 Fish is the last American left in the Men's draw. Federer and Djokovich are on court today.

And worse, Brooklyn was wearing a very conservative outfit today

    Maria and Wozniacki both won.

Matches are suspended at the moment because of rain. Rafa fought off two set points but won the first set 8-6 in a tiebreak; #4W Azarenka leads #32W Hantuchova 2-1 in the third set; #9M Monfils is tied with his challenger a set apiece, 3-3 in the third.

Among those in action later (weather permitting) include local hero #4M Murray and America's last hope, #10M Fish.

The #3 seed and French Open champion Li Na just got ousted 8-6 in the third set by German Sabine Lisicki. Na led 5-3 and had two match points on Lisicki's serve but was unable to seal the deal. That opens the door for #18 Ana Ivanovic as the only seeded player in her part of the draw. She won't face a seed until the QF when she's likely to run into #7 Serena, #9 Bartoli, #21 Pennetta or #26 Kirolenko.

The Sharapova and Wozniacki matches are delayed until tomorrow. Federer is about to take Centre Court. Isner is 3 games from defeat vs #16 seed Almagro.

Isner made short work of Mahut this year. Venus is down a set against Date-Krumm. All other matches are in rain delay.

Ana Ivanovic beat Oudin 6-0 6-1 and seems to have a cake walk into the 3rd round when she'll likely play #13 Radwaska. If she gets past that, it's hard to see a way she gets by #3 Li Na. The women's draw is wide open this year with both Williams sisters, Li Na coming off the French Open, Sharapova at the top of her game and world #1 Wozniacki lurking. There's also #2 Zvonereva, #4 Azarenka, and #6 Schiovone. The men's draw is pretty much Nadal and the winner of the Djokovic/Federer match.

Isner will play Mahut in a first round rematch from last year.
    Is this a random draw?

Somehow they're in the 4th, but it's just a matter of time before Nadal buries him. Federer has blown too many opportunities. It's like giving the 1927 Yankees 5 outs every inning in Yankee Stadium and expecting to win.

The second set surely has been strange. Nadal up a break early, Federer rallied to tie it at 4-all only to be broken immediately after, and then he broke Nadal after a 5 minute rain delay and now leads the set 6-5.

...and of course, Nadal held serve easily to force a tie-breaker, and Federer played one of the worst tie-breakers I've ever seen - drilling a weak 80-something mph second serve into the net and failing big-time on an overhand at the net.

Looks like this one won't go more than three sets - Federer is probably emotionally down/dead after screwing up royally with late leads in both sets.

Federer up 5-2 in the first and gags the next 5 games away. This one might go quick now.

I believe he lost the match when he lost the first set. When he followed that up by losing the 2nd, he basically put himself in an impossible position. I wonder if winning the quarterfinal in a walkover ****ed him up.
