I'll still go vote, but, I'm deciding if I write in "None of the above" or "Vermin Supreme" or just leave it blank. But, I'm still going to vote and in that I suspect I'll be more the exception. (Many will stay home.)

I agree with you on the bare fact, but I also don't have the sensitivity that women do of being treated like sh-t and mansplained to at work by their d-uchebag male "superiors."

There's also this, which is a problem that men never have to face. Munroe titled that one "How It Works," just to explain to the lunkheaded men among us how sexism really works in the workplace.

This is probably the strongest evidence yet in support of the Rover Hypothesis: that while Trump may be appealing to uneducated whites, there will not be enough of them at the polls to matter. In this case, the evidence suggests that Trump has not inspired an upsurge in registration among uneducated whites. He needs to inject those new voters into the electorate to have a chance as that is literally the only demo among who he will do better than Romney. In all other demos he runs the same as Romney, worse (in the case of blacks), much worse (Latinos) and potentially much, MUCH worse (women).

The Republicans have been going full bore for a decade making it harder to register in order to suppress the votes of Democratic constituencies. Wouldn't it be the ultimate irony if those measures cost Trump the election by suppressing his constituency?

"Never Turn Your Back on a Weasel, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Little Marco"

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said in a Thursday interview that Donald Trump will have to “answer some questions” about a Newsweek report alleging one of his companies broke the Cuban trade embargo in 1998.

“This is something they’re going to have to give a response to. I mean, it was a violation of American law, if that’s how it happened,” he said on the ESPN/ABC Capital Games podcast. “I hope the Trump campaign is going to come forward and answer some questions about this, because if what the article says is true — and I’m not saying that it is, we don’t know with a hundred percent certainty — I’d be deeply concerned about it. I would.”
This is Marco pandering to FL Cubans in an attempt to retain the job he hates, but it also shows that you can only push a spineless wimp so far before he bursts into tears and ruins your tie.

Note that in addition to giving Apricot Adolf negative press nationally, this also harms him in FL, one of the two purple states (along with OH) which Trump basically must win to have any chance at all.

What are the various deadlines for voter registration? 30 days? At the polls?

I ask because ND is the only state without voter registration.

We have 39 days before the election, so in all seriousness anybody reading this who has not registered please do and please vote, yes, even you Trumpettes. I would prefer a country where 100% vote and my party loses than 50% vote and my party wins. Informed participation is the cost of maintaining a democratic society and a republican form of government. Please do your part, even if it's a PITA.

There are lots of social psych experiments that suggest people overestimate how much other people are looking at them by two orders of magnitude. Basically, people are watching us 1% of the time we think they are.

I suppose an appearance by Heavenly Palace at Washington University on October 9 is too much to count on.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Maine has same-day registration. If you aren't registered, you go in a different line and get registered. Then you can vote. If you are already registered to vote but are not enrolled in a party you can do so at the polling place (for example, to vote in a primary), but you can't change parties on voting day.

In Boston in the early 90s I could walk into the Democratic primary, change my registration from Independent to Democrat, vote, then change back on the way out. It was easy, too.
