                        He may have been in "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers". Need to recheck IMDB.

                          I always enjoy the landing scene because the ship flies over the portion of the city where my dad grew up in the 30's (Atlantic Ave).

                          Here's a great shot of the DC streetcars in color. The accompanying article, about dating in DC in 1944, mentions the Crystal Swimming Pool at Glen Echo Park -- the very place a handsome lifeguard met a nursing student and had the temerity to ask her out leading inexorably to this post.
