But let's be real...There are 40 some other teams and only two alaskan teams...the day one of us wins something big will be the day I transfer to UAA

Am I the only one here who doesn't understand what this series of posts actually means?
"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." George Orwell, 1984
"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its Black Gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume." Boromir
"Good news! We have a delivery." Professor Farnsworth
Hopefully this means the members of the USWNT will finally go and spend some time in the NWSL and try to raise the leagues profile instead of some stupid victory tour. There's plenty of other things to do but that'd be a good start.

Baggio - refers to the Italian superstar who went over the bar in PKs at the World Cup final in LA. Press did the same thing.
England always loses in penalties in the WC
And "losing in penalties" means what, one team threw better right hooks than the other?

A penalty shootout, or more appropriately "kicks from the penalty mark as a procedure to determine the winner of a match," is used to decide a winner of a soccer game by having the teams take 5 kicks each from the penalty spot and the team with most goals scored being the winner.

That was embarrassing. No, not the loss. That happens. The BS Hope Solo pulled at the end was right out of the bush league. Say what you want about Alex Morgan and Christen Press, but they played with honor. Everyone in that stadium and watching at home knew what she was doing. It wasn't gamesmanship. It was infuriating. Excellent move by the Swedish skipper Caroline Seger to go pump up Dahlkvist while Solo was playing out her charade.
The USA had plenty of chances in the first half and couldn't convert. Do that long enough and you leave yourself open to one moment of brilliance on a counter. Sweden should have won in Extra Time but the side judge incorrectly flagged for offside.

US Soccer wants that victory tour because it's a cash cow. I'm sure the players don't mind it, but point your disapproval in the right place.
