Hopefully this means the members of the USWNT will finally go and spend some time in the NWSL and try to raise the leagues profile instead of some stupid victory tour. There's plenty of other things to do but that'd be a good start.U-A-A!!!Go!Go!GreenandGold!

That was embarrassing. No, not the loss. That happens. The BS Hope Solo pulled at the end was right out of the bush league. Say what you want about Alex Morgan and Christen Press, but they played with honor. Everyone in that stadium and watching at home knew what she was doing. It wasn't gamesmanship. It was infuriating. Excellent move by the Swedish skipper Caroline Seger to go pump up Dahlkvist while Solo was playing out her charade.
The USA had plenty of chances in the first half and couldn't convert. Do that long enough and you leave yourself open to one moment of brilliance on a counter. Sweden should have won in Extra Time but the side judge incorrectly flagged for offside.
In the end the more deserving team did win.Comment
